Pravasi is a UK community platform for South Asians — one place to find jobs, rooms and flats, practical guides, and South Asian businesses such as immigration lawyers, accountants, takeaways and travel agents. It's run by Pravasi Ltd, a UK-registered company.
Is Pravasi free to use?
Yes. Browsing jobs, accommodation, guides and the business directory is free, and job seekers are never charged. Posting a room or flat is free too. Businesses pay a monthly subscription to be listed in the directory.
Which cities and areas do you cover?
Our accommodation pages cover 43 UK cities and areas — including London areas such as Southall, Wembley, Harrow, Hounslow and Ilford, and cities like Birmingham, Manchester, Leicester, Bradford, Glasgow and Edinburgh. Jobs and businesses are listed across the whole UK.
How do I post a room or flat?
Sign in, choose "Post Accommodation", and add the details and photos. Listings are free and reviewed by our team before going live, usually within 48 hours. Pravasi doesn't verify landlords or properties, so always view a property and check paperwork before paying anything.
Are the businesses in the directory verified?
A "Verified" badge means our team has reviewed the business's basic details — it isn't an endorsement of their services. For immigration advice, always check the adviser is regulated by the OISC or the SRA; unregulated immigration advice is a criminal offence in the UK.
How can my business get listed?
Fill in the enquiry form on our "List Your Business" page and we'll contact you within 24 hours to set everything up — no account or technical knowledge needed. Listings are a monthly subscription with no long-term contract; get in touch for pricing.
Do you give immigration or legal advice?
No. Our guides cover topics like the Skilled Worker visa, NHS registration and UK banking, but they're general information, not legal or professional advice. For your own situation, speak to a regulated adviser or check GOV.UK.
